W niniejszym badaniu podjęto próbę ustalenia, czy wśród uczniów szkół średnich występują zachowania związane z deficytem uwagi spowodowane ekspozycją na media, na podstawie analizy pisma ręcznego. W rezultacie stwierdzono, że istnieje znacząca różnica w zachowaniach związanych z deficytem uwagi między uczniami, którzy mają mniejszy kontakt z mediami elektronicznymi, a uczniami, którzy mają większy kontakt z mediami elektronicznymi. Dlatego też, aby uczniowie mogli utrzymać uwagę podczas nauki, rodzice muszą kontrolować nadmierne korzystanie z mediów przez swoje dzieci. Obecnie media elektroniczne stały się popularnym sposobem rozrywki dla dzieci podczas przerw w szkole.
