Growing up as a young black man in 1980s Philadelphia, I was on the brink. The influences of negativity surrounded me. I adopted a delinquent path, hustling just to survive in my teenage years. The cold streets took no prisoners. I almost lost my life many times. By the grace of God alone, I’m here to share my story. This is the raw truth of inner-city boyhood, revealing the real pressures we face. The parent-child lessons show what works and what doesn’t in the hood. If you’re looking for an authentic narrative to guide the lost young men, my book is for you. My voice is unscripted. My goal is to uplift, not be politically correct. I narrate the realities of step-parenting, bullying, strife, and peer pressure. Together we can rise above the stereotypes and struggles. There is a way forward.
