The protagonist’s first day with the company seemed deceptively normal. A standard onboarding, a series of cryptic emails, and a few hushed warnings from coworkers were all they received. But everything changes when they are assigned their first task: a seemingly simple mission to retrieve an artifact from an abandoned mansion known to be haunted by a tormented spirit. What should have been a routine job turns into a nightmare as they narrowly escape an attack by the restless ghost, realizing that this isn’t a job like any other. The company, they discover, is part of a vast network that operates globally-every branch dealing with a different type of supernatural phenomenon. Some branches deal with poltergeists, others with curses, and others still with more dangerous entities like demons and creatures from ancient mythologies. But all of them are in the business of controlling and exploiting these forces, sometimes even making deals with malevolent entities in exchange for wealth, power, or information. As the protagonist becomes more entrenched in the system, they learn that the company isn’t just managing paranormal threats; they are controlling them, using a complex web of technology and arcane rituals. The company’s employees are equipped with unique tools-runes, devices that can contain souls, and even enchanted weapons-tools that should protect them from harm, but often seem more like traps in disguise. The deeper the protagonist dives into this twisted underworld, the more they realize that there is no escaping the system. They meet other employees-some who seem to have survived far longer than they should have, others who have been visibly broken by the constant exposure to the supernatural and the horrors they are forced to face. It becomes clear that the company thrives on keeping its workers in a perpetual state of fear, manipulating their memories and emotions to maintain control over them. The most shocking discovery comes when the protagonist learns of a hidden program within the company-the 'Ascension Project.' It’s a secret initiative that selects employees with a rare sensitivity to paranormal energy and enhances their abilities to manipulate spirits or other supernatural entities. However, those who are chosen are never seen again after completing the project’s trials, and rumors abound of a terrifying fate for those who ascend too high.As the protagonist struggles to survive, they realize they are being groomed for this project. But they have no intention of becoming another pawn in the company’s deadly game. They begin to plot their escape, working in secret with a group of other employees who have grown disillusioned with the company’s operations. They must navigate the perilous politics of this corporate environment, avoiding detection while trying to uncover the dark history behind the company, the true origin of its power, and the unspeakable price it pays to remain at the top of the supernatural food chain. But even as they prepare to make their move, they are confronted by the company’s most powerful enforcer: a former employee who underwent the Ascension Project and now serves as a living weapon, hunting down those who try to escape. The protagonist’s survival may depend on their ability to outsmart this enforcer, or perhaps to turn the tables and use the company’s own system against them.
