A flora apícola é o conjunto de espécies vegetais, silvestres ou cultivadas, capazes de atrair as abelhas, que delas obtêm o néctar, o pólen e outros recursos úteis para a colmeia. Os levantamentos florísticos desempenham um papel importante no estabelecimento das relações planta-inseto e, no caso da apicultura, permitem determinar a origem botânica do mel, do pólen e de outros produtos. Neste estudo, a flora de interesse apícola do bosque clerestório dos municípios de Belén e Cerinza (Boyacá), que está relacionado, compreende 106 espécies botânicas, distribuídas em 42 famílias, nas quais o grupo Asteraceae predominou em número de espécies com 27% do total, seguido de Ericaceae com 12% e Melastomataceae com 7%.
