Al revisar la constitución de las toxicomanías y sus cultores, los circuitos de distribución de la cocaína, la morfina y la marihuana, al reparar en las dinámicas de regulación y criminalización de sus consumos, queda la impresión de que lo que se decía y hacía sobre el particular estaba atado o buscaba anexarse a otros fenómenos, a otras prácticas, a otros grupos sociales. Por medio de la reconstrucción y análisis de estos y otros hechos, este libro explora una serie de procesos históricos que se articularon en el Chile del siglo XX en torno al mercado de las drogas.
