Este poemario que presenta la Editorial “Palabra Libre” es la crónica del ingreso de un novelista y escritor de humor y sátira al universo encantado de la creación poética. Armando Caicedo, quien por atreverse a confesar con su desabrochada sinceridad su respeto por este género, pero al mismo tiempo, su pasmo ante la desbordada producción poética donde la cantidad logra opacar la calidad de textos maravillosos creados por inspirados vates… fue retado a un “duelo poético”. Para cumplir este compromiso, Caicedo debió desempacar sus trastos de versificar y convocar a las nueve musas para ponerle el pecho al viento. Este poemario reúne los poemas que aquella medianoche del duelo, en un día signado por la progresión perfecta: 12 – 13 -14 (mes 12, día 13, del año 14) declamó Caicedo en una playa de Key Bizcayne, Florida, a manera de defensa oral de su tesis de grado, ante unos jueces implacables que acudieron a juzgar la calidad del novel poeta.
